Right now I'm into keto/low carb cooking. Eating this way seems like it has to be a life style choice.

Yes. I made a deliciously bomb keto low carb version of In N Out's iconic Double-Double burger and Animal Style French fries. This was so good. Pretty simple to make.

Check out the video down below. Ingredients and how to below, as well. Enjoy.

Ingredients and instructions

Caramelize onions

1 whole grill red onions

2 tbsp butter

2 tbsp avocado oil

Chop one whole red onions. Using a frying pan, turn heat on high until pan warms up. Lower the temperature to Medium-medium low. Put an 1 tbsp of butter and 1 tbsp of avocado oil. Let the onions slowly cook and releases the sugars in them. Caramelizing them. When done, turn off heat and set aside to be used on our burger and animal style fries.

In-N-Out Spred (secret sauce)

1/2 cup Mayonnaise made with Avocado oil

4 tbsp ketchup (sugar free)

1 tbsp sour cream

Pinch of salt, pepper, garlic powder.

Add all together and mix/wisp thoroughly. Set aside until ready to use for use later on our burger and animal style "fries".

Double-Double Burger

ThinSlim Zero Net Carb Bread

2 80/20 1/4 lb beef patties

Iceberg Lettuce (You can use this to wrap your burger if you don't have low carb bread)

Sliced tomatoes

2 Sliced Cheddar cheese

1/2 grilled red onions

4 tbsp butter

2 tbsp avocado oil

In-N-Out Spread (Secret Sauce)

Slice your tomatoes to desired slice sizes. I made four slices out of a medium size tomato. Take your iceberg lettuce and cut the but end off. Start separating your lettuce leafs. Wash them thoroughly. Dry them and set side.

If you are wrapping your burger and/or not using low carb bread you may skip this part.

Low carb bread or buns

Lightly or heavily butter your toast with 2 out of 4 tbsp of butter. I don't have a toaster oven. So, I'm using by frying pan for this. Just toast until desire toastness. I toasted mine for about 4 to five minutes each side. Maybe, a little less.

Cast iron 80/20 Patties

In our cast iron, or frying pan if you don't have a cast iron, add in the remaining 2 tbsp of butter and our 2 tbsp of avocado oil. Make sure the heat goes up to temperature. Than add in our two 80/20 beef patties. Basing them to add in more buttery flavor. I like to cook them about 3 to 4 minutes each side. Flip the patties one side is done. Basing them some more. I like to add our slices of cheese on 2 minutes after I flip them. When 3 to 4 minutes is up, take them off our cast iron and start assembling our burger.

Take a slice of bread, if you are using bread, spread some Spread (secret sauce) on there. Put on some iceberg lettuce next. Than, our tomatoes slices. Our two 80/20 beef patties. Than, 1/2 of the grilled onions. Now, take the last piece of bread and put some spread on and top hat it. You can add pickles too if you like. Now. there you go. In-N-Out-like Double-Double.

Animal Style Cauli-Fries

Cauliflower Florets

2 slices cheddar cheese

In-N-Out spread (secret sauce)

1/2 a grill onion

Ninja Foodi Air Fryer/Pressure Cooker/Slow cooker/Steamer/Sear/Saute

Cut you Cauliflower into floret size. Season with a pinch each of salt, black pepper, paprika, garlic powder, and a little bit of chili powder. I didn't measure how much exactly of each but it was too much. Mix well.

Using an Air-Fryer, spray with non-stick spray at the base of your air frying tray. Add in you cauliflower florets that you marinaded. Spray a little more over the cauliflower with non stick spray. I used avocado oil non stick spray. Close the lid. Power on your air fryer. Turn temperature to 400 degrees F and timer to 15 minutes.

When cauliflower is finished air frying, put onto a plate and add on your slices of cheese. I used the microwave to melt the cheese more. Now, you can add on your In-N-Out-like spread (secret sauce) and than your caramelized onions.

The burger was so butter and delicious but what I enjoyed the most was the Animal Style Cauli-Fries. That was so good. I want to make them again. I will definitely make them again.

Try this recipe out and tell me what you think.
